University Scholar Award

The University Scholar Award is designed to recognize a faculty member who has demonstrated outstanding teaching, service, or scholarship.

Award Details

• Up to four awards each year (maximum one award from each college).

• Each recipient will receive a recognition plaque and $2,500 for scholarly endeavors, creative-activity support, or professional development. These funds can be used to support any contractually appropriate activity agreed upon by the respective dean and faculty member.

• The funds must be used within 12 months of the award date. An extension may be requested for an additional 12 months.

• Award winners will be announced in March and honored during the annual Dragon Excellence Awards ceremony.

• Recipients will be required to present a lecture, exhibition, or performance at the following year’s Student Academic Conference or other on-campus appropriate venues.
