MSUM Orchestra in concert Nov. 19
Featuring alum Brian Sterriker
MSU Moorhead’s Orchestra will present a concert on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 4 p.m. in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts Hansen Auditorium.
The concert features MSUM alum Brian Sterriker performing the Vivaldi Bassoon Concerto. Sterriker received a B.S. in instrumental music education K-12 and a Bachelor of Arts in music performance. He currently attends the University of New Mexico, working toward his Master of Music in performance. As a graduate assistant, Sterriker plays with the university’s Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, and the Enchantment Winds, the graduate Woodwind Quintet. Read more about Brian Sterriker.
Other works on the concert include Mozart’s Eine Klein Nacht Musik, Ernest Bloch’s Concerto Grosso and Edvard Grieg’s Holberg Suite. Adjunct Professor Jon Larson directs the Orchestra. As a conductor, Larson has conducted high school orchestras in Moorhead, Bemidji and Minneapolis. He has also guest-conducted the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra, the Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra, the Bethel University Orchestra, and the Fargo-Moorhead Youth Symphony.
Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the Center for the Arts box office or at the door.
