- True Sons of Freedom, a traveling exhibition on loan from the Library of Virginia, will be on display through Nov. 9 in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts Gallery. The exhibit commemorates World War I with photographs of African American soldiers from Virginia who fought overseas to defend freedoms they were denied at home.
- Project E-Quality was launched at MSUM in 1968 to recruit African American, Native American, and Mexican American students to campus. Dr. Yolanda Arauza’s Senior Seminar spring 2023 class sifted through collections of archival resources, conducted oral history interviews, curated photos and artifacts, and assembled an exhibit to document the under-reported story of Project E-Quality. This exhibit will be on display through Nov. 9.
- Art gallery hours: Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Dragons Give will collect new toiletry items, used cellular phones, non-violent children’s toys and non-perishable food items at various campus locations. All items will be donated to the Dragon Food Pantry, Dragon Career Closet and Rape & Abuse Crisis Center.
