Career Development Center seeks donations of professional attire for the Dragon Career Closet
The Career Development Center will be launching the Dragon Career Closet in the Fall of 2023, an on-campus resource that allows current students to select gently used professional attire for interviews, work, events and other career-building activities free of charge.
“By helping students look as professional and qualified on the outside as they are on the inside, we hope to increase their confidence and decrease their stress,” said Samantha Gust, director of the Career Development Center. “To fill the closet, we’re looking for dress pants, blouses, dress shirts, blazers, suits, ties, dresses, and skirts. Due to space constraints, we’re unable to accept casual/damaged/outdated clothing, outerwear, shoes, jewelry and bags.”
The Dragon Career Closet is ready for an internal rollout to begin collecting professional apparel for these purposes. Faculty, staff, alumni and friends can support the Dragon Career Closet through clothing donations, gift cards to local clothing retailers, Amazon Wishlist purchases or financial contributions. Clothing donations can be brought to Flora Frick 151.
