Film professor and three students present at MPCA/ACA conference

School of Media Arts & Design faculty, Tony Adah, led three film students to the Midwest Popular Culture/American Culture Association Conference in Chicago (Oct 14-16) to present their academic research. Tony’s paper was titled, Indigenous Cinema and the Environment: Reading Indigenous Films with TIK (Traditional Indigenous Knowledge), Carter Aakhus’ paper was “The Outback Gothic Horror Films and Australian Cinema,” Abigale Larson presented “Nationhood in South African Reality Television,” and Aubrie Vivant’s presentation was titled, “What’s Lurking in Southern Africa’s Shadows?: Supernatural Themes in Film.”
