Donate to your charity of choice through payroll deduction in Self Service

October is the time Minnesota state employees come together to donate to their charities of choice through Minnesota’s Combined Charities campaign. Among the 30+ federations are the United Way of Cass Clay, PeaceMaker Minnesota, United Negro College Fund and more. Check out the entire list of Combined Charities participating federations. 

Even $5 per check can add up over the course of a year and make a big impact for charitable causes you care about. These deductions are only valid for a single calendar year. Any payroll deduction will begin in January and run through December. 

To set up new or edit existing deductions:

• Go to the self-service portal (state.mn.us/employee) and log in
• Select “My Pay”
• Select “Charitable Deductions.” From this page, you can review, add, or update voluntary deduction information.
• On “Type of Deduction” you can search for your agency of choice
