Scholarships for student participating in unpaid internships/experiential learning
Through MinnState’s Guided Learning Pathway funding, the Career Development Center has secured funds to disperse to students who are participating in an unpaid internship or experiential learning opportunity (ex. student teaching, clinicals, etc…) and demonstrate need. We are able to give out $500 scholarships to 30 students this semester.
Students can apply using the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship common scholarship application. In addition to the three short-answer essays that are part of the common app, we are also asking for an offer letter or proof of employment from their internship/experiential learning supervisor as well as a brief (250 words or less) statement of need. Students can apply for scholarships here – https://www.mnstate.edu/cost-aid/scholarships/search/ and the name of the Scholarship is “Unpaid Internship & Experiential Learning Support”.
