COVID-19 & Quarantine/Isolation updates
Quarantine/Isolation changes per CDC
The Minnesota Department of Health has reviewed and adopted the CDC guidelines for the new quarantine and isolation recommendations. As a result, MSUM will follow the revised recommendations effective immediately. If you are currently in quarantine or isolation, you will be contacted about your new quarantine or isolation period. Please do not contact the Dean of Students Office; they are working through cases as quickly as possible.
Emergency Management Team
The Emergency Management Team (EMT) actively monitors the COVID-19 environment on campus and in the community, isolation and quarantine numbers, and transmission rates. EMT provides Cabinet members with information and recommendations if changes in our mitigation efforts need to be implemented. EMT continues close communication with Clay County Public Health and the Minnesota Department of Health on the COVID environment and campus safety. Please go to Clay County Public Health for vaccine and booster opportunities.
Campus Events
There are no capacity restrictions or distancing requirements at MSUM. However, we strongly encourage everyone to follow mitigation efforts for events, including masking, distancing wherever possible, using hand sanitizer, offering virtual options if available, etc. When planning or preparing for an event, keep in mind the location, size of venue, and ability to follow the mitigation efforts. We want to promote MSUM while doing so safely.
Thank you again for your efforts in keeping our Dragon Family safe on campus.
