Work Smart Salary Negotiation Workshop
MSUM employees can now register for our first AAUW Work Smart Salary Negotiation Workshop on Tuesday, June 15 from 6:00-8:00pm. Dinner and a workbook are provided thanks to a grant from our local AAUW FM chapter.
This workshop is designed for early career professionals, including MSUM employees and recent alum, and focuses on women, but individuals of any gender identity are welcome to register and attend.
What is Work Smart?
Did you know that at our current rate of progress, the gender pay gap won’t close until 2093 . . . that it will take even longer for women of color? Did you know that the pay gap in Plains states like North Dakota is worse than the national average? In this 2-hour, interactive workshop for early to mid- career professionals, you’ll learn concrete strategies to skillfully establish a target salary, craft a value statement, negotiate a raise and benefits, and ask for what you’re worth so you can build greater financial security throughout your career.
