Virtual Power in Diversity Conference – Register to Attend for Free

Over the past few years our country has been divided by numerous issues and this has had a significant impact on our nation. Recently, the murder of George Floyd directly devastated our students and our communities. The conference theme, Unleash Justice, invites attendees and presenters to explore and discuss justice issues facing communities of color and oppressed groups.

The opening speaker is a member of the Central Park Five, Yusef Salaam, who will share his journey and personal experiences fighting for justice. Crystal Leigh Endsley, activist and professor of Africana Studies at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York, will facilitate a full-conference racial caucusing activity and then close the conference with a keynote address.

Registration is FREE for all MSUM students, faculty and staff. Visit the conference website for information, the full schedule, and to register. Note: You will likely need to create an account through the Minnesota State Workforce Solutions to register — there is no charge to attend but registration is required.
