Obituary: Prof. Joanna Snyder

JOANNA SNYDER, 85, Moorhead, died Friday, Jan. 17, in her home. Prof. Snyder was one of the original five faculty members of the nursing department who developed the RN to BSN program at the request of local nurses. She shared her expertise in public health nursing with enthusiasm. Her passion for public health inspired many of her students to move into public health nursing as a career. An associate professor, she began at MSU in April 1976 and retired after spring 1996. A gathering of friends and sharing of memories will be Sunday, Feb. 2, from 2 – 4 p.m., in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
