Students present at National Association of Multicultural Education
Two MSUM students, Edmund Buscho (Spanish and English Education) and Hannah Edwards (Art Education), presented at the National Association of Multicultural Education alongside Dr. Sheila Marquardt, former professor in the School of Teaching and Learning. Their first session, The language that binds us: Decolonizing language for LGBTQIA+ students led participants through an interactive workshop. Their second session, Decolonizing LGBTQIA+ experience, language and representation in P-12 classrooms facilitated a round table discussion among participants. Congratulations to these students for facilitating two well-attended sessions at their first national education conference.
