Nov. 13 | 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. | Faculty Development Center Room 124

Please join us on November 13th from 11:00 – 1:30 in celebration of GIS Day 2019. This year, GIS Day will be held in Room 124 of the Faculty Development Center and will feature short talks from students and faculty. This is a great opportunity to see how faculty and students are applying GIS across the MSUM campus to solve problems. Talks will occur from 11:00-12:00, and 12:30-1:30 with refreshments and a break from 12:00-12:30.

GIS Day was started in 1999 and has grown into an international event that is intended to spread awareness of the interdisciplinary nature of Geospatial technologies in today’s society. GIS is a scientific framework that allows us to gather, create, manipulate, and analyze geographic data, and subsequently make better decisions! Come join us for GIS Day 2019 and learn how GIS might be used in your research, departments, or day to day activities!
