‘Prairie Post Office’ recognized by the American Library Association

“Prairie Post Office: Enlarging the Common Life in Rural North Dakota” (2017, NDSU Press), by authors Steven Bolduc (Economics) and Amy Phillips (formerly Social Work), and photographer Wayne Gudmundson (Communications, retired), was selected by the Notable Documents Panel of the Government Documents Roundtable (GODORT), a division of the American Library Association, as “one of this year’s outstanding state and local government publications.”

“Prairie Post Office” has previously been recognized (1) with a Bronze IPPY award in the “Midwest—Best Regional Non-Fiction” category of the Independent Publisher Book Awards; (2) as a finalist in two categories of the Midwest Book Awards: (a) “Social Science/Political Science/Culture” and (b) “Total Book Design”; and (3) with top honors for the “Notable Document Award” by the North Dakota Library Association.
