Help Shape MSUM’s Future – Participate in the Strategic Priority Setting Process
President Blackhurst requests your participation in identifying MSUM’s next strategic priorities, which will guide our work through 2025. Your participation is critical: We need broad input to ensure that the best ideas emerge.

In addition, all university employees and students will receive the survey link on September 23. The survey will be live for approximately two weeks.
Whether you participate in person or via the survey, you’ll be asked to reflect on MSUM’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as the opportunities and threats facing the university. You’ll also be asked for your ideas about the strategies MSUM should pursue to take advantage of our strengths and opportunities.
The input we gather from the focus groups and electronic survey will inform the work of a campus-wide strategic planning committee. The committee will propose new strategic priorities for campus consideration by the end of the fall semester.
We remain committed to our purpose, core values, and strategic anchors as articulated in our strategic framework. The strategic priorities we identify during the next few months will focus our attention and our resources on what is most important to MSUM’s success in the next five years.
