Volunteers needed for MN Special Olympics Event

Minnesota Special Olympics reached out because they are in need of volunteers for an upcoming Special Olympics event in Moorhead. They read about the Office of Student Activities online and thought sharing information with us would be a wonderful way to connect their event with various clubs, organizations and students at MSUM. They welcome the opportunity to connect MSUM students to the MN Special Olympics organization!

On Thursday, November 29 they will be holding the State Bowling Tournament at Sunset Lanes.  There are morning and afternoon shifts available for volunteer roles as lane monitors and awards assistants. These roles provide a wonderful opportunity to interact with the athletes and their bowling team as well as create a team building experience for any group that helps out. A few of the main volunteer shifts and roles are listed below.

8:30-11:30 a.m. – Lane Monitors (11 volunteers needed)

11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Lane Monitors (11 volunteers needed)

9:30-12 p.m. – Awards Assistant (4 volunteers needed)

12-5 p.m. – Awards Assistant (4 volunteer needed)

10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Lunch Assistants (4 volunteers needed)
