College Life Hacks Part One: Studying
Give yourself some incentives to study
A great way to do this is by using your favorite candy or treat, and placing a piece on every page. Once you’re done with that page you can eat it! This will motivate you to keep going and help cut back on distractions.
Take notes using different colored pens
This will fire up your visual memory plus it makes your notes pretty.
Nervous about presentations?
Have a friend ask you a question you already know the answer to. This will help loosen you up and prepare other students to ask questions too. There’s nothing worse than an awkward silence while waiting for someone to ask a question.
Jog your memory using scent!
Spray an unfamiliar scent while you’re studying, then again before you take the test. The scent will help you remember what you studied.
Gum
The scent technique also works with a weird or different flavor of gum.
Make a cheat sheet
Before taking a test, write down a cheat sheet as if you could bring it into the test with you. Writing it down will help you remember the important things.
Write your formulas down right away
When you sit down to take a test, write down all of your formulas right away. This way you won’t have to worry about remembering them later.
Fuel your brain
Make sure you eat a healthy, nutritious meal before taking a test or studying.
