Where: Center for Business, Room 105
Learn what it takes for a career with the State Department or in Foreign and Civil Services as well as learn about career and internship opportunities they have available on Thursday, September 27th from 9:30 am to 11:00 am in the Center for Business, Room 105. From 9:30-10 a.m. drop by for coffee, donuts and conversations with the U.S Department of State Nora Dempsey and Bridget Roddy. Then from 10 to 11 a.m. they will have an informational session where they will share their experiences and career and internship opportunities they have available with the State Department as well as digital internships with sixty different federal agencies. This is an informal session, so students and faculty can come and go as you are able!
There is something for everyone! The Virtual Student Federal Service internships need every skill set – from videographers, to social media, business, finance, economics, math, computer science, English, languages, graphic design, communication, political science, social work, sociology and for sure, those interested in foreign policy and in government service should attend this event.
Please take a look at vsfs.state.gov and you will get an idea of the broad spectrum of projects and experiences there is to offer to students of every major and minor.
