Student Senate looking for committee members

Dragons! Student Senate is looking for students to join our Senate committees. The committees that are looking for more people to join include: 

• Academic Affairs – This committee focuses in on things relating to classes, such as making classes, degree requirements and textbook affordability. This committee meets on Friday at 2 p.m. every week.
• Diversity – This committee focuses on making improvements to the university’s commitment to creating a diverse campus. Areas of interest include DACA, gender inequalities and potentially having a Holocaust survivor come to campus. This committee meets Wednesdays at 5 p.m. every week.
• Campus Affairs – This committee needs a person to lead this committee. It is a paid position that students can apply for. There is no set time for the meetings, but it would have to be weekly; there are members of this committee so whoever becomes the chair can start work immediately. Topics of this committee are things that relate to having an impact on the campus as a whole.
