Student Senate is hosting a meet and greet for students to get to know the candidates on the ballot for elections next week. There are two opportunities, Wednesday at 5 p.m. and Thursday at 5 p.m. Both events will be in the Sun Garden Lounge of the CMU. Refreshments will be provided.

The Student Senate Diversity Committee will hold it’s weekly meeting at 5 p.m. in the Student Senate office (CMU 126) and will be discussing how to make our campus more inclusive. In an effort to create dialogue about the recent acts of racism and homophobia on students’ whiteboards, the committee wants to ensure the student population is aware of the committee’s meeting time. Last week, Student Senate reviewed Student Technology Fee requests and approved the funding request for Planetarium Upgrades in the amount of $58,000.00. These hardware upgrades include a new, higher resolution fulldome projector, CPU update and upgrade, as well as the necessary equipment to make team-building through cooperative gaming in the planetarium, particularly the Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator, a permanent fixture.
