MSU Moorhead Celebrates ‘Forever Red’ at Homecoming
Minnesota State University Moorhead will celebrate forever red during its annual homecoming celebration Oct. 2-7 with a wide variety of student, alumni and community events.
Kicking off the week is a community block party from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2 on the MSUM campus mall. There will be food, games, art, a photo booth and music by MSUM’s commercial ensemble. The community is invited to this free event; in the event of rain, the block party will be moved to Nemzek Fieldhouse.
Distinguished alumni will be recognized Thursday, Oct. 5 at 5:30 p.m. in the Comstock Memorial Union (CMU) ballroom. The Dragon Athletics of Hall of Fame dinner will be Friday, Oct. 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the CMU ballroom. Tickets to both events are available at https://www.mnstate.edu/homecoming/events.aspx with RSVP required.
The homecoming parade begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 and is followed by tailgating and the 2 p.m. football game against the Duluth Bulldogs, and a volleyball game at 5 p.m. against Sioux Falls.
The Comstock Memorial Union 50th year celebration begins at 5 p.m. in the CMU. The event includes free food, bowling, Unglued crafting, mini golf, arcade games, student performers and more.
A chili feed competition, ice cream palooza, glow run, burning of the M plus many more activities take place during the weeklong festivities.
