Faculty present at Midwest Campus Compact Conference

A collaborative faculty team from the College of Education and Human Services and College of Humanities and Social Sciences presented at the “Doing Democracy: Asset-Based Engagement and Culture Change” Midwest Campus Compact Conference on 7 June, 2017 in Chicago, Ill. The team members comprising of Dr. Michael Coquyt, Dr. Yolanda Arauza, Rachel Stotts, Janelle Miedema, and Dr. Nandita Bezbaruah presented their findings “Creative Collaboration in Service –Learning Research and Implementation.” 

This multidisciplinary research assessed the perceptions of MSUM students in the areas of preparation and support, cognitive, behavioral, and affective learning related to Academic Service Learning (ASL) experiences. Students were surveyed in Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 semesters. The collaborative team received funding from the Faculty Development Center and Dr. Brenda Amenson-Hill, Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Administration.
