Sign up to volunteer on Thursday, June 8 for the Special Olympics of North Dakota “Parade of Athletes and Fans in the Stands” at the Fargo downtown Civic Center.
Below is information about the event. You do not have to be a student-athlete to volunteer.
Please let Justin Solberg know by Thursday, June 1 if you can volunteer. Email justin.solberg@mnstate.edu or call 701.899.2300.
- Need 10 volunteers to help guide the athletes for the “Parade of Athletes” for about 5 blocks downtown. The parade will be led by a burning torch and law enforcement. The parade will start at St. Mary’s Cathedral and end at the Civic Center.
- Also part of “Fans in the Stands,” we are trying to get as many people to come to the Civic Center around 6:30 p.m. and cheer on the athletes as they come into the Civic Center. Family members are also encouraged to come as well. There will be bands playing, food trucks and other activities for people to do outside of the civic center that evening.
