University Traffic & Parking Regulation changes
The Facility, Grounds & Safety Committee (FGSC) is charged with annually reviewing the University’s Traffic & Parking Regulations. The committee has implemented the following approved changes:
Permit Price Adjustments:
- Semester-only General permit prices will change to be the same for each semester. Fall-only permits will increase from $80 to $85 and spring-only will decrease from $90 to $85. This change will take effect in fall 2017.
Summer & Holiday Parking in General Lots:
- All General Parking lots (lot names that begin with a G) will not be ticketed in the summer or on all University holidays and breaks (all days when there are no classes and/or offices are closed). This change took effect on May 15, 2017.
- Reserved Lots, Meters, and Handicapped areas will continue to have ticketing enforced year round.
Overflow Parking or “Parking Down”
- Overflow parking or “parking down” will be allowed for reserved permit holders as needed. Reserved permit holders can park in R (reserved) lots other than their home lot or in a G (general parking) lot on an as needed basis. This change took effect on May 15, 2017.
Thank you for your continued support as we work to improve service and safety in our campus parking areas.
