Short named Alice Paul Award Honoree
Sherry Lee Short, Professor in the School of Art, has been named as an Alice Paul Award Honoree. The Alice Paul Award is an historic list of women who have worked to end men’s violence against women in the United States. The Award was generated by the Feminist History Committee of the National Organization for Men Against Sexism.
The criteria for the list included being a woman from the Second Wave of feminism forward (late 1960s and thereafter); being directly involved in addressing critical areas such as rape, domestic abuse, and sex trafficking; and having a significant impact on these issues.
