Feature Tuesday – Sustainable Students Association

Welcome to this week’s “Feature Tuesday”! This week’s organization is the Sustainable Students Association [SSA]. See what Ashley Rezachek, Vice President of MSUM’s SSA, has to say!

What is the organization’s purpose? SSA strives to educate ourselves, the MSUM campus, and the community on sustainability. Our goal is to promote and spread awareness about sustainable developments, education, and policies. This group also provides members with information and an understanding of these topics.
What is the basis of your organization’s activity? We hold a meeting every week in the sustainability office, Hagen 111. We also volunteer, host events, attend conferences, and host guest speakers.

What do you think students would benefit from by joining your organization? Students would learn to help the environment and learn how they can be more sustainable and how to educate others on sustainability.

How does your organization #GetActive, #GetConnected, and #GetInvolved on campus and within the community? We table at major events, volunteer, and educate people on campus and in the community.

Does your organization meet regularly? If so, when and where? We meet every Wednesday at 6pm in the Sustainability Office in Hagen (note the time is subject to change and will be noted on our Facebook group page).

Will you have a table at DragonFest? Yes!

Check back next Tuesday to find out about another “Feature Tuesday” student!
