Dragon Twilight Meet, Community 2K and Anne vs. Doug Race Tonight
The season opener for the Minnesota State University Moorhead cross country teams is Friday when they host the Dragon Twilight Meet at the Tri-City Soccer Complex in south Moorhead. The Randy Smith Women’s 4K begins at 8:15 p.m. and the Fred Dahnke Men’s 6K begins at 8:45 p.m.
“As in previous years our process is focused on racing at our highest level during the championship phase of our season,” MSUM cross country/associate track and field coach Ryan Milner said. “I look for both teams to exceed their preseason conference, regional and national rankings.”
The MSUM men are ranked No. 20 in the USTFCCCA preseason national rankings. They are also ranked third in the Central Region and were picked to finish second in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) preseason coaches poll. The Dragon women were ranked 10th in the Central Region and picked to finish fifth in the NSIC.
Dragon Twilight 2K Fundraiser for the Minnesota State University Moorhead Cross Country and Track & Field Teams at 9:15 p.m. The race is a flat and fast one-lap cross country race under the lights at Moorview Soccer Complex in Moorhead, Minn. The event is open to individuals of all ages and levels of ability.
