Dr. Deborah White named president of MSS
Dr. Deborah White, Sociology and Criminal Justice, began her term as president of the Midwest Sociological Society (MSS). The MSS is a professional organization of academic and applied sociologists, as well as students of the discipline. The MSS is among the largest regional sociology organization in the United States, with approximately 1,200 members. Dr. White completed a one-year term as MSS President-Elect, during which she planned and led the annual meeting held March 23-26 in Chicago. This year’s annual meeting was attended by over 1,100 sociologists from the United States and abroad.
