College for Kids & Teens Awarded Lake Region Arts Council Grant

MSUM College for Kids & Teens has been awarded $15,000 in grant support from Lake Region Arts Council (LRAC) for Summer 2016. This is the fifth year in a row that the program has applied for and been awarded money from LRAC to support their K-12 courses in the arts.

The majority of the money, $11,000, will be used to support need-based scholarships for K-12 students that want to attend MSUM College for Kids & Teens Arts courses. Examples of courses that students could take include: Water Wonder World, Clay and Toy Animation, Peculiar Painting, Graphic Design, This and that Jewelry, and many more.

With the support of Lake Region Arts Council – This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Lake Region Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.
