Director of Public Safety Wanted
Minnesota State University Moorhead is currently searching for the Director of Public Safety (State Program Administrator Manager). The purpose of the Public Safety Director position is to lead a comprehensive, proactive, 24/7/365 campus public safety program and security operation in a residential university environment.
The Director is responsible for supporting the University mission, purpose and strategic goals by providing a safe and secure environment for the campus community through the management of all campus public safety programs and security operations including emergency planning and response, crime and fire prevention, investigation of major incidents, building access (keys/cards), and parking enforcement.
The Director is the University’s primary contact with local law enforcement and emergency personnel. The Director is responsible for ensuring the University is compliant with all federal and state regulations within their assigned areas of responsibility. The person serving as the Director is required to be on call at all times.
