Fuego Tropical Steel Drum and Salsa Ensemble performance this Friday!
The MSUM World Music Ensemble “Fuego Tropical,” directed by Dr. Kenyon Williams, will perform this Friday, Nov. 6th in the CMU Ballroom with special guest artists Ruben Alvarez (Latin percussion), Dr. Tom Strait (trumpet), and the FM Salsa Dance Club. Beginning at 7pm, a FREE salsa dance lesson will lead into the 7:30pm concert, which will feature open dance floor space as well as the astounding talents of the guest artists performing cool steel drum music from Trinidad and hot salsa music from Cuba. MSUM students receive free admission. Tickets for community members are available online at https://tickets.mnstate.edu/ and at the door: $7 adults, $5 non-MSUM students.
