Combined Charities Annual Campaign

By now you should have received your blue and orange “We change Lives across MN” Combined Charities Campaign information in your campus mailbox. Please remember to respond by Oct. 31, 2015. If you didn’t get the contribution information or would like more information, please read the rest of this entry.

This year’s information packet includes flyers from the state Combined Charities Campaign and the United Way of Cass Clay (UWCC) along with information on how to access the Charitable donations site on the MN Employee Self-Service website, and a separate form for UWCC contributions (see below)

Please enter your own payroll deduction information on the Employee Self-Service website at www.state.mn.us/employees. Just go to the Self-service website (where you get your payroll information) and click on “Other Payroll” and then “Charitable Deductions.” If you pledged last year, that deduction will be visible. You will need to “Add Deduction” to enter your pledge for the coming year (consider adding a dollar, or two, or five!).

Human Resources can assist with the payroll deduction process, but will not be able to enter your pledge for you, as was the case in the past. Payroll deduction is an option for the 40 or so charitable federations on this year’s Combined Charities Campaign list

Due to an unfortunate glitch, United Way of Cass Clay is not listed as one of the payroll deduction options. Since UWCC has been a popular choice for many employees, a form specifically for the United Way of Cass Clay has been provided. With your blue and orange Combined Charities card is a United Way of Cass Clay card and contribution form. You may use this form to contribute by check or credit card. You may also request to have UWCC bill you either immediately or in 2016 (there are quarterly and monthly billing/charge options). See the form for more information. The form may be returned directly to UWCC. Please note that you are an MSUM employee on the form. UWCC should be back on the payroll deduction list next year.

If you need a copy of the UWCC form, click here or contact HR or Peg Potter (see below).
