Trisha Rutten (formerly Dewar), MSUM Political Science graduate, is the cover story on the current issue of Area Woman. The article details the amazing story of Trisha surviving a stroke as a 26-year-old mom and undergraduate. This challenge spurred Trisha to reach higher while knowing, “Moments really matter to me. Every moment matters with my kids, too. Everything changes so fast.”
Trisha graduated in 2008 with a 4.0 and was accepted to Harvard Law School. She graduated from Harvard with an international law degree and a Master in Public Administration in International Development.
She has now found her “soulmate” and taken on the role of senior manager of the Alzheimer’s Association in Fargo. Her Political Science professors continue to be thrilled but not surprised by her success. Dr. Barbara Headrick summed up their views, “Trisha was always a treasure and we love watching her personal and professional life flourish. She has earned it all.”
