Dr. Lisa Stewart helps ready new Minnesota Reading Corps members
Dr. Lisa Stewart, School Psychology, helps new batch of Minnesota Reading Corps members get ready to serve. Dr. Stewart attended and trained at the Minnesota Reading and Math Corps Summer Institute on August 18 in Minneapolis, Minn. Over 1,200 new Reading Corps members took the Americorps pledge that day to start their year of service in more than 800 PreK and K-3 sites throughout the state of Minnesota. Over 1,000 internal and master coaches who support the Reading Corps member were also at the Institute. Several of this year’s Reading Corps members and internal coaches are MSUM students and alumni committed to making a difference in the lives of PreK or K-3 kids and giving back to their community. Many of our local schools have Reading Corps members. Dr. Stewart is a Master Coach, trainer, and consultant for Minnesota Reading Corps and Reading Corps replication sites around the country.
