Affinity Plus Renews Commitment to Moorhead Community
Credit Union Renews Contract on University Campus and Announces Opening of Its New Branch
After renewing its contract with Minnesota State University – Moorhead (MSUM) for space in the recently renovated Comstock Memorial Union, Affinity Plus announces the new space for its campus branch is now open. As the only financial institution with a physical branch on the MSUM campus, Affinity Plus is able to serve over 6,500 students and over 250 full-time faculty members. With a larger, more functional space, Affinity Plus employees are looking forward to providing a better member experience. The new branch will feature an after-hours ATM and drop box, additional parking spaces, and an area for one-on-one appointments.
Jon Stock, Moorhead Campus Branch Manager, commented on his excitement for the new branch: “We are honored to be MSUM’s only on-campus financial institution and look forward to continuing and strengthening the great relationships we have with the Faculty, Staff and Students of MSUM. We are proud to serve our MSUM members with all their financial needs through all stages of their life.”
Affinity Plus has 27 branches across Minnesota, including four on other university campuses. Member Advisors work closely with student members to help them better understand their finances during college and prepare for a successful financial life after graduation. The credit union offers products and services that cater to specific member needs, which result in easier banking and fewer fees. Some of these products include a student checking account which allows members to earn gift cards every month just by using their debit card, and a technology loan with an interest rate that can continually be reduced by maintaining a certain GPA. Branch staff is actively involved in back-to-campus events, including student orientations, Welcome Week, and Dragons After Dark.

I’m even awarded gift cards to a few of my favorite places to shop, and all for just using my debit card. For me, it doesn’t get much better than that,” said student member, Brandon Adams.
