Advertising students advance to elite eight in National Student Advertising Competition

MSUM’s advertising campaigns capstone class, taught by Jody Mattern, has advanced to the national level in the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC). The team accepted an advertising challenge for Pizza Hut in August with the goal of increasing online ordering at pizzahut.com by 75 percent. MSUM’s campaign slogan is, “Delivering Bold Ideas.”

The team advanced to the national level after completing a conference call with six judges from across the country. MSUM is one of eight schools that will be advancing to the competition in Las Vegas. Other universities in the national competition include: University of North Carolina, Johnson & Wales University, Louisiana State University, West Texas A&M, University of Oregon, St. John’s University and Hawaii Pacific University.

Drew Olmen, Krista Tolstedt, Danielle Rebel, Sarah Knight and Alecia Hupperts will be presenting at NSAC in Las Vegas.
