President’s task force on sexual violence prevention presents recommendations
The task force on sexual violence prevention, which has been meeting since November, has presented its final report goals and recommendations to President Anne.
The group’s charge was to make recommendations about how to create a campus culture in which sexual violence, including date and acquaintance rape, sexual harassment, stalking, and other forms of sexual assault is not tolerated.
The final report includes seven goals and 41 recommendations to meet the charge, which are intended to propel MSUM beyond our current compliance with state and federal law related to sexual assault on campus.
“I am extremely thankful to the task force members for their time and effort in helping MSUM to be a safe and welcoming community,” President Anne said. “These recommendations are intended to elevate the level of integrity and respect in our behavior and interactions and to ensure that sexual violence will not be tolerated on this campus.”
