MSUM Psi Chi and Psychology Club hosting 2015 Red River Psychology Conference this week
MSUM Psi Chi and Psychology Club are pleased to host the 2015 Red River Psychology Conference on April 23-24 at MSUM Paseka School of Business. The key note speaker is Dr. Susan Everson-Rose, an MSUM graduate and first-ever MSUM Psi Chi President. Dr. Everson-Rose is currently Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota. Her research investigates health disparities and psychosocial stressors that impact cardiovascular disease risk. The conference will begin with Dr. Everson-Rose’s evening address at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 23rd entitled “Race, Place & Social Determinants: Understanding Health Disparities in Heart Disease & Stroke.” Her luncheon address on Friday, April 24th at 12:45 p.m. will be “Emotions, Stress and Disease: A Biopsychosocial Perspective.” Both talks are free and open to the public.
