MSUM advertising students took first place at AAF District 8 National Student Advertising Competition
MSUM advertising students in the capstone class, “Advertising Campaigns,” taught by Jody Mattern, took home first place at this weekend’s American Advertising Federation District 8 National Student Advertising Competition. The team accepted an advertising challenge for Pizza Hut in August with the goal of increasing online ordering at pizzahut.com by 75 percent. MSUM’s campaign slogan is, “Delivering Bold Ideas.”
The team will compete in semifinals in early May, with the possibility of going to Las Vegas for the national competition in June. The presenters also won the “Pentatonix Best Team Chemistry Award,” which was awarded by Olson Advertising.
“We were confident going into the competition that our campaign would resonate with the judges,” said presenter Danielle Rebel. “Each and every person on our team put a great deal of effort into this campaign, and we are all so excited for the next round of competition.”
