Horizonlines.org and several School of Communication and Journalism majors receive awards
The following is a list of Society for Professional Journalists, Northwest Broadcast News Association Eric Sevareid, and NATAS – Upper Midwest Regional Student Production award winners from MSUM.
Horizonlines.org wins First Place in SPJ Awards
Horizonlines.org won was named the Best Digital-Only Student Publication by the Society of Professional Journalists in its Mark of Excellence Awards.
Horizonlines.org is an online magazine produced each spring by the students in MSUM’s Journalism Workshop class. The winning issue is titled “Behind the lens: A different perspective.” Through stories and images, this year’s issue explored the lives of professional photographers at home and abroad.
