Dr. Kenyon Williams performs at the University of Kentucky

Dr. Kenyon Williams, Professor of Percussion at MSUM and a graduate of the University of Kentucky, was invited back to Lexington this past weekend to perform for the gala celebration, “30 Years of Percussion at UK.” The event celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of the Percussion Studio at the University of Kentucky by Professor James Campbell and featured approximately 66 alumni and current studio members performing John Luther Adams’ “Inuksuit,” an epic 75 minute composition for percussionists to be performed outdoors (a composition performed last April by the student members of Dr. Williams’ own MSUM Percussion Ensemble).
