Music students Matthew Tinjum (Jazz Studies) and Joel Kingsley (Music Industry), performed with the Dan Brekke Band, which opened for the Eli Young Band at a recent performance at The Hub in Fargo. Tinjum played drums, and Kingsley played bass.
Jazz Studies student Conor Lee received a Career Development Grant from the Lake Region Arts Council. Lee will use the grant to learn two music composition and editing software programs. Dr. Paul Sando was again consulted and quoted in an article on railroad safety and oil transportation, this time at the international level. The publication is Future Rail Magazine, the author is Fran Marcellin, a British journalist working in France. The article was distributed by an online news clearing house called Piece Boutique.
