Scholarship luncheon honors student achievements
The Alumni Foundation and Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship host the third annual Scholarship Luncheon Friday, Nov. 7 in the CMU Ballroom. The scholarship luncheon celebrates the achievements of MSUM students and provides scholarship recipients an opportunity to meet donors who have greatly impacted their lives through their generosity and dedication to student success.
“This scholarship has allowed me to really immerse myself in the college experience without having to worry so much about money,” said freshman music industry major Rebecca Garvey.
Over the last 15 years, MSUM has awarded more than $3.8 million to 9,966 MSUM students.
“After I graduate from MSUM I will go on to graduate school to earn a doctoral degree,” said Courtney Newland, a senior speech-language-hearing science major. “I have a long road ahead and this scholarship not only helps financially but also acts as encouragement on my journey and for that I am very grateful.”
