President Blackhurst opens 2014-15 year with campus presentation tomorrow
Pres. Anne Blackhurst invites faculty and staff to opening remarks for the 2014-15 academic year at 9 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 20 in Hansen Theater.
“I think it is vitally important to communicate clearly, often, and in multiple ways so there’s no need to speculate about what is going on,” said Blackhurst. “In July I sent my first monthly email update, I’ll continue to use social media and, of course, we will continue to use town hall meetings and the formal meet and confer process to share information and answer questions. This campus presentation is not only a means of information sharing. It’s also an important way to create community and clarity as we begin a new year together.”
Among the topics to be discussed are Blackhurst’s plans and priorities for the upcoming year, including plans for a new institutional image campaign to increase MSUM’s visibility within the Fargo-Moorhead community.
