Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) – Those driving two wheels to MSUM’s campus have a new “pit stop.”
The campus “sustainability” department helped bring a “bike fixation” station right to campus.
It is full of every tool and device a biker needs in a pinch.
Screwdrivers, wrenches, even an air pump.
There is even a place to hang the bike while it is being worked on.
In addition, there is a QR-Code which directs cyclists to a web page full of repair tips.
Joe Herbst/MSUM Sustainability Dir.: “People don’t always think about when a campus has so commuters, carbon footprint it is not just individual, but organization wide so encouraging students to ride a bike or bike around or come to campus without a car, don’t need a car if you have a bike you are good to go.”
The bike fixation station was a student driven project; green Fee funds helped pay for the “fix-it” station.
