Speaker “Kit” Evans on campus Monday
Argrow “Kit” Evans is a national trainer, speaker and activist working in conflict resolution, violence prevention, and assisting in healing from violence. As a U.S. Peace Corps alum, she has served all over the world, from the Caribbean and Africa to England and Japan. Evans was attacked violently in May of 2008, and has used her experience to further motivate her to promote nonviolent social changes and to spread her message of hope.
Her new book, “101 Testimonies of Hope,” is a collaboration between her and other writers and artists with the intent to encourage others who are struggling. Evans will be speaking on using the arts for healing and hope at MSUM on April 14 at 7 p.m. in Weld Auditorium. Inspirational spoken word artist, Joe Davis, from Minneapolis will present prior to Evans at 6:30 p.m.
