A 19-year-old West Fargo woman advanced to another round Wednesday night on her quest to be the next American Idol.

Andrina Brogden was voted into the top 15 female finalists by celebrity judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr.

Brogden’s rendition of one of pop artist Ellie Goulding’s songs won her the judges’ votes during Wednesday’s American Idol episode.

Brogden auditioned for the 13th season of the popular singing competition last summer in Omaha, Neb., choosing to sing Beyonce’s “Halo.”

The singing hopefuls who received a “golden ticket” during last year’s national auditions have been back home, waiting for the wave of audition episodes to air. Brogden has been sworn to secrecy about the final outcomes.

Judges are slated to narrow the field to 15 men during Thursday night’s show.

The 30 men and women will then begin performing live each week from Los Angeles as eliminations trim down the group down.
