Frederickson receives award for “The Birds of Al-Merjeh Square: Poems from Syria”

Yahya Frederickson, English, won Finishing Line Press’s Open Chapbook Competition. His manuscript, “The Birds of Al-Merjeh Square: Poems from Syria” was selected by poet Christopher Bursk as the winner. In addition to publication, Frederickson received a $1,000 cash award.
