Faculty and students co-create play for young children
A free children’s theatre production takes the stage for two shows Saturday, Nov. 23, in Hansen Theatre in MSUM’s Roland Dille Center for the Arts. Swashbuckled — A Pirate Adventure, was created and directed by Craig Ellingson, director of theatre arts at Minnesota State University Moorhead, and senior theatre students Matthew Englund and Ryan Soukup. The play tells the story of Pirate Grey, Quick-Silver, and Larry as they embark upon an adventure to find Blackheart, their missing pirate king. Filled with music, singing and sword fights, Swashbuckled is suitable for all ages.
Show times are 1 and 4 p.m. For more information, contact Elizabeth Evert Karnes at 218.477.2267 or evertel@mnstate.edu.
