Athletic Department to hold Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day

The Minnesota State University Moorhead athletic department will hold Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day on Saturday, Oct. 26. All MSUM faculty and staff will receive free admission with their staff ID to the Dragon football and volleyball games on Oct. 26.

MSUM plays host to Mary in football that day beginning at 1 p.m. with the Dragon volleyball team hosting Winona State at 4 p.m.

The MSUM Athletic Director’s Honor Roll from spring 2013 will be recognized at halftime of the football game on Oct. 26. A total of 181 athletes will be honored that day. To make the AD Honor Roll, the student-athlete must have earned a 3.0 GPA for the Spring 2013 semester or have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0. A total of 20 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 during the spring 2013 semester.

“We are excited to recognize the efforts of our student athletes in the classroom,” MSUM athletic director Doug Peters said. “At the same time we are grateful for the time and efforts of our faculty and staff at MSUM in helping our athletes succeed academically.”

The department who bring the most people to the games wins a $100 gift certificate to Quaker Steak and Lube! Sign up at the Will Call table the day of the game. The winning department will be announced and recognized at the Dragon volleyball game on Oct. 26.
